Anywhere between 2.5 and 5 minutes.
Do I need to login to my account every month to keep it active?
Absolutely no, as long as you keep your client app running.

Yes it will, GogoIP is running as a service and your hostname will update no matter what.
Can I lose my hostname?
If we get no pings from your client app for 3 month, your hostname will be free to register by anyone.
What's the catch?
No catches, just remember to keep your client app running and up-to-date.
